Many customers prefer “real” wood to hardboard and particleboard, and Holland Southwest uses the highest grades of material available, always striving to provide an affordable, as well as beautiful, product. When plywood is specified, the following codes and definitions are used:

PS   Plain Sliced Veneers
RC   Rotary Cut Veneers
G2S   Good 2 Sides. Back Side is patched & sanded
LC   Lumber Core
VC   Veneer Core

 

GRADES

A   Best Grade
Common to USA “ANSI” Grades. Also for Chine Fancy
B   Second Grade
Common to USA “ANSI” Grades. Also for Chine Fancy
C   Third Grade
Common to USA “ANSI” Grades. Also for Chine Fancy
D   Fourth Grade
Common to USA “ANSI” Grades. Also for Chine Fancy
E   Fifth Grade
Common to USA “ANSI” Grades. Also for Chine Fancy
FD   Best Grade for Indo/Malay/Twn=AA/AB
BB   Next Under Best Grade for Indo/Malay/Twn=BB
D-OVB   D=Interior, OVB=overlay & better (BB/CC/OVLY)
P-OVB   P=Exterior, OVB=overlay & better (BB/CC/OVLY)
BB/CC   Best Grade referring to Commodity Type Material, i.e., Virola, Meranti, Okoume
